Like the Density of Clouds
Like the density of clouds
Or the cigarette that arcs,
When flicked into the night.
The tumbling of stars
Is just another dream,
Of how once, we lived our lives.
Tomorrows, today’s
And all our yester-years,
Love and pride long lost.
The moral and its lesson
Well learned, though
Too soon forgot.
Should you read these words?
Please know
As you stand and gaze upwards
So do I,
As do those humble few
From those beaches all so long ago.
