As if you won’t let me forget you.
Nowadays, I have a hard time
Remembering you fondly though.
The hurt you caused me usually
Outweighs the good you left me with.
I spend so much time trying to erase you
From my mind that I forget to forgive.
But more importantly than forgetting,
I need desperately to forgive you.
I need to remember the good you did
And forget the bad taste you left.
