You see right through
These surface smiles.
I’m vulnerable,
Exposed to your eyes
But oh, how I’ve opened up
So you can see why I closed myself.
I’m naked before you
Because you made me
Feel comfortable in my skin.
This is utterly brilliant! So much is said in so few words, and the conclusion absolutely seals the poem. This is a sign of classic talent, and I applaud your accomplishment.
