God’s Perfect Design

In the beginning,
God created everything
under the sky
and above it.

At first,
there was nothing~
a bottomless emptiness~
until God spoke all
into existence.

He started with
the division between
light and darkness,
day and night.

Then followed
the separation
of heaven and earth,
ocean and land.

Plants and animals
were next,
more species than
we could ever imagine.

Finally, God
spent extra time
designing humans
in His perfect image.

He gave us all
His other creations
for food and in order
to marvel at.

But it was not enough
for our nature
made we jealous creatures
wanted more.

We fell from grace
and became imperfect,
but God still loved us more
than His other compositions.

We were His masterpieces,
the work of His mighty hand;
He loved us so much
He ransomed His son for us.
