Summer Fills my Senses

Folder:
Thoughts on Life

I remember those

lazy summer days

like they were

only yesterday.

I still sense the taste

of the salty ocean air

on my tongue,

the sound of seagulls

awakening me

rather than roosters,

the feel of waves crashing

against wave runners

but calming down

when I tried to

float on the surface.

I remember

the smell of freshly

reeled in fish

and the pride of

having caught it myself.

But most of all,

I remember reveling

in the beauty

found oceanside

as the sun fell

below the water’s

horizon.

Yeah it fills my senses with allergies that make me miserable so fall is my season but I can appreciate those who enjoy summer and don't suffer with it. Nice piece..
