Colors of You

Folder:
Missing Him

In your absence,

I laid out your memory

Like rainbow-colored paint chips

On concrete floors and

Picked up each, one at a time

To assign it to another man

That would smear themselves on me.

To one,

The effervescent yellows and pinks-

The goal of bringing

Blushed giggles to my cheeks

And replace your face in my dreams.

To another,

The tranquil blues and greens-

With the purpose to make me feel

Like what I have to say is of any value

And he consumes each word with delight.

But they are not you;

Only you can know my reddened passion

And can touch me the way that makes me

Want to spill my kaleidoscopic wishes.
