A Nation in Crisis

Folder:
Society

We have exhausted all our resources,

But as long as our hands

Are encrusted with determination

We can pull ourselves out of this muck.

We are at war abroad in poor regions

And in our own weeded backyards,

But we still have soldiers willing

To fight for the red, white, and blue.

The great nation will not surrender

For it has endured so much

To be able to call itself

The greatest country on earth.

We have fought for the right

To be recognized as free,

For the privilege of being

Prosperous and self-sufficient.

The work of the men and women

That have toiled in past generations

Will not be in vain for

We will remember their willpower.

We will restore America

To its previous luster and glory,

We will usher in a time

Of unifying peace and surplus.
