The Finish Line

We have all trained since birth

To finish the race of life

Whether we prepare for it

Or we are dragged along.

Do not run aimlessly,

Run towards the goal at hand;

Run with purpose and

Unbridled determination.

Discipline your spiritual body

By becoming His disciple,

Follow Him for he leads

The way on lighted path.

The finish line is heaven;

Only some enter the narrow gate,

All have heard the horn

But few accept the call.

sure the instinctive behavior is God gifted and every one knows when born... and what you added to poem is logic.. your ideas are semi philosophical.. if I am not wrong. Tha;s why your poetry is appealing.. like your way of doing poems.. you seem very experienced poetess jessica... good luck for you and hope you will not forget to comment on my poems to know if these are knocking your heart too or..?
