War has been waged
Between the forces of
Almighty God
And the Evil Devil.
Adam and Eve
Were deceived
By the enemy
Long before they
Even knew what lies were.
And every day since,
Our adversary finds ways
For us to surrender
To his misleading words
And battle against our Lord.
But the victory is ours;
God’s son has defeated sin
And we can no longer
Be prisoners of war,
Held captive by our faults.
