We have our system down.  My dog usually sleeps by my feet.  He has his own small blankees.  One on either side of me.  He can get himself all curled up and sleep through the night.  I just need to know which side he is on.  If I need to make a bathroom run in the middle of the night, I don’t want to kick the dog in the head.  I have to know which side of the bed to roll off.  Life was so much simpler when I slept alone.  In those days, I was carefree and didn’t have to think about anything when making a 3:00 AM run to the toilet.
