Riding the high speed line out to Norristown for a poetry event and dinner at a Mexican restaurant and pondering all the subtle absurdities of life. I never shy away from psilocybin or mescaline when I want to ruminate on deep mysteries. And I ponder: Norristown, PA: birthplace of Jaco Pastorius and Tommy Lasorda. Now that is a true odd couple. So we’re spooning out old fashion “mom, baseball and apple pie” and splashing some alcohol infused avant jazz. What could be more American than that? Throw out the first pitch to dissonant basslines.
