DIMLY LIT LOUNGE

Dimly lit lounge

on the ship

attempting to leave Helsinki

a bit of reindeer

in my tummy

and some beer in my liver

Ship moving out

We are on our way

This poem beautifully

This poem beautifully captures the quiet anticipation and reflection that often accompanies travel. The combination of local cuisine and drink adds a personal touch, grounding the reader in a specific moment and place. As the ship moves out, there is a sense of embarking on a new adventure, filled with possibilities and unknowns. But my initial take was that instead of butterflies in the tummy, like Rudolph there was reindeer bucking in the tummy! Laughing

here is poetry that doesn't always conform
