Being handed a light beer

and actually taking it

I felt so emasculated

I was all nervous;

eyes darting wildly

like, “oh geez

I hope no one sees me

drinking this.”

That would be the final blow;

the coup d’etat since

it was so emasculating

I needed reassurance after finishing

So in a manly, macho

gesture

I crushed the can

with my bare hands

my manhood reaffirmed

after so unmanly an experience

as drinking a light beer
