I’m tired

of listening to excuses

excuses, excuses, excuses

that’s all we have

to rationalize our utter failure

I’m tired of

hearing all these excuses

for everything in the world

you can imagine why it is

We keep on

making up excuses

excuses, excuses, excuses

to explain away how we managed

to fuck it all up                                     

I’m tired of listening

to excuses

and the same old excuses

over and over again

until I want to explode

I’m tired

of listening to excuses

can’t one fucking person

come right out and admit it

admit it’s their fault

but, no that

really isn’t what

it’s all about

in this country

now it’s all just excuses
