BASEBALL METAPHORS

Folder:
THE DRUNKENING

There’s always

new ideas

waiting to be hatched

It often times

boils down

to who will step up

to bat

and nail the big hit

and the baseball metaphors

are striking a note

of Americana

one hundred years

of desolation

in incoherent thought

freed finally

by singular light

nobody listens

to Rimbaud anymore;

the words pregnant with meaning
