They’re still waiting

for the emergence

and I stay put

         kinda haning low

and keeping my nose clean

      move slowly

           and deliberately

kind of keep out of the way

             for any arrivals

                   or departures

don’t really have time

           to worry about it;

                lose sleep over it;

            that would be silly

tongues and eyes fling by

            laughing visions

                 of dashed horrors

      and dreams unrealized

           left out to pasture

next question please

     but please be concise

            short and brief

stick to the fucking point

and keep moving on

          dance off to reggae music

        and sip heavenly ales

               of Oregon:

         wild Northwest

Fruity notes

          texture the passage

       but listening will not

           cause a disaster

       or catastrophe

just for old time’s sake

        we call the whole thing off

forget it ever happened

            and get on with it
