Thinking Atlantic City

Casinos, bars,

      and Thai restaurants

food over meditated

         prayer rants

my voice easily

             silenced

in urban chaos

         racial tension

             fury of

the assassination

forms in cities

          42^nd Street

              blown up

       like it deserves;

        tension eased

     over village scenes

the parks are open

         to the public

but the booze

             is verboten

and foreign words

            are suppressed

     by intolerance

All my feelings

All my thoughts

         the cities opened up

     statues of Benji

no more tears

        for the free shows

          and the polluted rivers

hence our self pity

             has yet

         to get us anywhere
