It’s not easy
caught in the Faroe Islands
in my boxer shorts
being snowballed
by exuberant kids
who have long since
worn out any amicable feelings
I may have at one time
held for them
before the bombardment
and ostracizing began
when I felt they were
all fighting and playing
on the same side as me
