School’s out

which is a shame

cuz we don’t know

all that we should know

we ain’t been taught

all the lessons

we need to be taught

and it’s all gonna

catch up with us

in a very big way

though we try to learn

and pretend to listen

and we didn’t  think

it would be important

but now it is

and we don’t know

but we can’t go back

because school’s out

and now we’re lost

on the way
