I think a vast majority of
I think a vast majority of the earth's population would agree to this. I have just enough platonism in my faith to make me think (perhaps I am contrary) that the soul has more to say about the real reality than those false lords your poem mentions. Machine guns and missiles are this world's contemporary version of that old, and intrusive, Golden Calf.

People had souls in the twelth Century, before wide-spread avarice and greed accelerated around 1850 to mechanized narcissism. Reality vs conditioned escape/denial/delusion - we have become very good at burying actual caring. ~S~
