I

swallow

my whiskey

and remember
glory now faded

recall those better days

when I thrived not just survived

nostalgia for the fireplace

where brilliance outpaced banality

a wise man once said you

a wise man once said you should avoid whiskey before you're 50.  Once you're past 50, it's medicine.  Of course, the stomach has to keep its lining for it to work as medicine.  Be safe and take care of yourself.
