The day you turn your head around
I will no longer be there
no longer be the work light
to your darkness.
no longer the rope
to pull you from the well.
not a string
for you to pull back and forth.
no longer that happy smile
you always adored.
I will be a mirror, when you look
to show your selfishness.
I will have wings
so I can continue to fly when you fall.
I am the happiness
you used to hold.
I no longer felt love, it was sad
and that's hardest feeling to have
knowing I'm better off.

I do not read many poems that make my heart go thump. You need to keep writing, and I will keep listening to how your succinct words speak so loud. Your emotions do not whisper, they resound in this poem. Nice piece of work. Stay strong.
