We all have our struggles,
we all have our fight,
each test that comes I take
as a chance to feed my soul's inner light.
My struggle to survive
may seem small change to a brother or sister's plight
in wartime nations, as well as those
who are affected by disease and blight.
As overwhelming as it might seem,
and as far as my dreams appear to be,
gotta keep my vision clear and focus
so I can see the prize
at the set point for me
to one day achieve.
It's not the light at the end,
for the end never comes
when you live for l-o-v-e,
for a life lived for love
leaves a legacy for eternity.
Not only love romantic,
but the agape type given freely
amongst friends and family.
The two greatest rules said by seers
and even He in whom I believe,
are to love God, the Divine
and one's neighbors, even when it ain't easy.
Living from a place of love
is living from a place of peace,
even when the storms shake things up,
dropping you from your feet to your knees.
No matter the mistakes made, true honesty
will help keep
perspective on what needs
to be learned through each
of the struggles. Keep
strong in true faith to feel at ease
in such times of trouble.
Living with awareness,
reflection as objective as can be,
allow guidance to find you
and set you and those touched by you free.
Faith tested is faith strengthened,
soul tempered as hot steel
is by the cold water it's dipped in.
Just remain open,
so that when tested,
the soul will be able to listen
and reap the benefits
that the tests of life have to give
as gifts at the end of them.
