I wander the earth like a wraith
Without rhyme or reason to my existence
Feeling a subtle yet eternal pain
Knowing something is missing
Because the void in my heart is so large
It is impossible to avoid
So I live looking to saturate this dry sense of loss
Hoping to spur a living growth
To fill in this black void
And to bring about a fire inside
That thaws the ice covering my frozen heart
And to bring me back from this eternal death
That I suffer every day
As I wander the earth like a wraith...
What a powerful write. You certainly captured the numbness of life quite well.
