Letting Go

I feel so lost

Inside my mind
I thought of you

A one of a kind

You let me go

Way too soon

Not once did you say

“I love you.”

You left my heart

In broken pieces

Lying on the floor

You said I was nothing

And walked on out

I couldn’t take it anymore

You threw my heart

Down the drain

I felt so much with you

I lie on my bed,

There’s so much pain

I can’t live without you

There were so many times

I thought it wrong
That we were head over heels

But now I know

Our love is gone

You can’t imagine how it feels

When you’re the one letting go

Of the person who loves you most

It seems too easy

To let them know

That they’re nothing more than a ghost

They see right through

Your broken heart

Right through the love you had

They don’t know that

It’s oh, so hard

To feel that you’ve done bad

You ask yourself

A million times

Why did he leave me alone?

Memories flash

Through your mind

It chills you to the bone

But you let those flashes stop

“”If they don’t love me back, oh well.”
You leave your house, all dolled up

You won’t stay in their hell

Out with friends

You seem him pass

Walking and laughing once again

He looks at you

Then walks on fast

Your love has come to an end.
