The lady in the moon enraptured me las night

So round and emanating a glorious light

She beckoned me to come out bathe in her glow

And watch the trees sway to and fro.



The lady in the moon has a ring of white

Plain and thin yet incredibly bright

It circles like a halo around her frame

Giving you the assumption the night is tame



The lady in the moon enchanted me last night

So round and emanating a glorious light

She calmed me and enlightened my soul

So that, come sleep, I was once again whole.
