I'm going to give this a try,

Not one of sadness but of life.

Whether it may be wrong tomorrow,

Or the start of an era.

To keep something alive,

instead of more heartless good byes,

For if I stay this time

Will I be alright?

Nothing has changed

But I'm easily moved

One smile to give me a day,

 And one story to take away a few.

I've made my own

Enough to fill a life with joy,

So I have little regret,

I'll simply never forget.

So I'll ask, was this enough?

Can I lay my mind to rest?

All I need now is that,

A safe haven to lay down and sleep

To one last time be buried in dreams.

So I'll give it a try,

If I fail, I may escape when 

I'm halfway down.
