Misplaced Malice

All men steal the golden keys
stored so deep away from sight.
All men cheat to obtain the
small soft glow of hope's own light.

All men strip the blue down wings
from the gentle sparrow's breast.
All men feed the dragon's wrath
and ignore the damsel in distress.

All women spin a widow's web
of curses, lies and adultery.
All women lure the eyes of men
with luscious sin and sorcery.

All women peel the silken stems
to leave the rose's metal thorns.
All women call the heart of men,
take their breath and pretend to mourn.

All people accuse, lie, and point
away from the blackness of their eyes.
The gateways to their fragile souls,
they forever strangle under guise.
