But the Belief of a Unicorn

I stood there still as stone, My eyes never did leave it, As but a Belief of a Unicorn.

They say he never existed, They said he was only a child's dream to help them get to bed. But I saw it. I saw Him. The one humans doubted and didn't believe in. He stared at me with deep black eyes, the Moon's rain of snow trickled down his back. His cloven hooves I couldn't see but the Spiral that held the stars and all the galaxy. Yes I did see Him. My Fantasy.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this at a time when I was really into unicorns and poetry of unicorns.

Tara,
This is cute. :) I like the line :

"He stared at me with deep black eyes, the Moon's rain of snow trickled down his back." plus the whole spiral galaxy idea is cool . That could be developed into an entire poem on it's own.
