I was a young girl

on my way in this world

when you came along

and sang your sweet song

You tore my world apart

when you broke my heart

You left me alone with a child to bare

was no hope for me but to turn to welfare

Then I got on my feet and started again

I was only 19, but determined to win

Now you come calling back with hopes of repair

You walked out of our life with out a care

Dont think I'm gonna let you back in

you reap what you sow when you are full of sin

Oh how our lifes have turned around

I'm way on top and you are slime on the ground

I've got a career and a pretty cool car

But what about you, you haven't gone far

You always said you would reach the top

well thats for sure Dead Beat Dads is the spot

I think its quite clear,

I'm not the one whos shedding the tear
