I'll save my sanity for a rainy day

because the raindrops never wash my pain away

I have tried and tried to walk in the rain

hoping and praying that it would heal the pain

but I guess storms are called storms for a reason

and that they only make the nights darker in this season

thunder and lighting are not on my side

so during the storm I search for a spot to hide

I haven't seen sunny weather in years

nothing to wipe away all of my tears

it's so cold inside of my heart each day

and the sky is never blue it's always grey

and each day it never gets any better

no matter how hard I try to find sunny weather

it doesn't exist in my sky



the clouds have permanently settled above my head

making me feel empty, making me feel so dead

the forecast for tomorrow is the same as today

and the present weather is the same as yesterday

where has the sun gone, doesn't it know I need sunshine

doesn't it know that I want to make happiness mine

where is the sun hiding, is it behind a cloud in the sky

the sun abandoned me and didn't even say goodbye
