color the world with a paintbrush

nature is an artist's portrait

each leaf that falls from each tree

displaying it's colors everchanging, everchanging

each wave that rides along the ocean's tide

coming up and down and landing on the shore

every cloud that rolls by our heads

changing shapes and moving with the sky

the sun shining on our faces with it's golden edge

stretching out it's rays drawing us in it's embrace

the stars that light up the darkened sky twinkling

lighting up every child's imagination and keeps us dreaming

the rainbow with it's spectrum of colors blended together

drying away the rain and giving hope to the hopeless

the most beautiful portrait is that of the world

and the most precious gift is that of life
