and I think to myself maybe that's you in the sunset

maybe it's time I stop talking to you inside of my head

and I wonder is this what it feels like to be near you

cause right now I feel like the sky has been painted blue

and the stars have been placed above my head for me to reach for

I guess I can't say that I have ever felt anything like this before

and I say to myself maybe you were never so far away after all

maybe you were always as close to me as the shadows on my wall

and I want to walk with you forever

I feel like there will never be tomorrow

time has stopped dead in it's tracks tonight

and now for the first time I see twilight

and I just keep walking with my God by my side

all fears kept away all hurts gone all tears dried





the world around me never looked so beautiful before

I felt like I was sitting peacefully on a huge seashore

and for a minute I felt like I was taken from the world

and was looking down with God over the whole beautiful earth

and I thought to myself could this be real or was this just a fantasy

but then I knew God's prescence worked in mysterious ways so I said I believe

and if you want to find me now I will be on my knees counting my blessings

and lifting my hands up to God giving him all of my praise and my offerings
