sometimes I want to go back to before

and sometimes your smile is all I'm living for

sometimes I wish I could go back to yesterday

back when you were there to take my breath away

sometimes I want to be the heart in your chest

sometimes I want to be your lungs filled with your breath

sometimes I want to be the sparkle in your eyes

because they are what keeps me so alive

sometimes I just want to know what it is like

to be the shadow that walks by your side

because I love you more and more each day

and there is so much my heart would like to say

but sometimes my heart and my mouth don't fall into sink

and I don't get to say to you all the things I think

but you are there in my brain

thoughts of you are what keeps me sane

I have looked at your face in my memory a million times

so much so that I have every inch of you memorized

and sometimes I just want to tell you how I feel inside

how I long for my heart and your heart to collide

and my heart bleeds every time I look in your eyes

because I need you more than just sometimes
