Raised to speak the truth or nothing
In a kingdom where honesty was the price,
I lived long enough to feel the flames of insanity
Burning up through the hopeless skies.
Then the sun set in, and the world
Turned upside down as I closed my eyes.
But to tell the truth, I was an honest liar;
Lying all along through my teeth and veins,
Lied to the blood, to the child in vain,
Trying to wash away all my stains.
Broke trust, even mine, yet never broke free
From all of fate's unforgiving chains...
Born to lie, yet I failed to die
Even as the rooster crowed during His reigns.
I agree...........
Riveting piece................ unforgettable but without St Peter we would not know Jesus nearly so wisely nor so well..............Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen.
thnx 4 ur appreciatn...among
thnx 4 ur appreciatn...among all d apostles, St Peter is my favourt. So I just had to write a piece on Him...actually its about an impostor who thought of him equivalent to St Peter, but then came to all realise his faults towards d end of his life, thereby emphasising St Peter's greatness...
Cool..................
Was just thinking about the real St. Peter and how great his letter to the Corinthians was among other things like his wish to be crucified upside down cause he felt he was not good enough to be crucified just as Jesus had been done. That always touched me to learn that. Keep writing and sharing............. Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen.
Yep dats why St Peter is d
Yep dats why St Peter is d greatest, or so I feel.Lines 5 and 6 refer to the same...and the last two lines, to his denial of Christ before the crowin of rooster. This is what is so noble abt Him...he unwillingly lied and erred, yet proved to the best before God.This brings Him closer to humanity, n shows dt we all r eligible 2 b d best,if we seek forgiveness. St Peter is an inspiration to humanity, if nt the greatest ever...
