when the night is darkest

and world starkest

when humanity is inhumane

and every kind word is said with bile

when wicked is good

and laughter is mocking

when peace is held with a loaded gun

and innocents are killing to survive

when the old bury the young

and truth is the ultimate lie

when the poor starve

and others eat themselves to death

when the internet is a right

and privacy is a crime

when you look outside

and realise that prison has no bars

when you look in the mirror

and you see a wraith

when a candle in a field is as bright as the sun

and speck of light can blind

when you know the end is near

and yet you cant see the inevitable

when your fucked

and you dont even know it

then we know ignorance is bliss

and knowledge heartache
