Invisible

Sometimes there are poeple

I think no one else can see

No one even knows they're there

No one... except for me

The girl who sits at lunch alone

Her nose down in a book

I watch peole pass her by

Without even a look

The boy who's not so good at sports

Who doesn't want to play

They don't think he's listening

But he hears what they say

Some people are taunted

Others treated mean

But even that'd be better

Than never being seen

I imagine they go home at night

Parents ask about their day

They make up lies to cover up

The things they cannot say

After eating dinner

They go up to their beds

They fall alsleep with tears of pain

Wishing they were dead

Then they go to school again

Where everythings the same

Everyone just walks right by

They don't know why they came

Yet they keep on comming

Their spirit never breaks

They always make the best of it

No matter what it takes

They know that no one knows them

And they don't even care

I can see them smiling

When no one else is there

In some ways they are braver

Than no one I've ever known

They are not afraid to live

Even if they're alone

For all the people that walk by

I guess the jokes on you

For all the people never seen

Can do what you can't do

You can't stand alone

Up on your own two feet

But they can and that's one way

That they've got you beat

Author's Notes/Comments:

I go to a school where you're kind of in the in crowd or you're not. I'm not but this poem isn't about me I'm very happy with my life and friends and get along with everyone. This is about the people I talk to that have a lot to offer but I've never seen anyone else approach. I never had to go through the felling of never being seen because well, I'm pretty straight forward and outgoing...and loud. But I just want to let those people know that I envy them. I could never do what they do everyday.

Hey Sam,
I just came to check out your poems after our coversation the other day, and i must say, im quite impressed. This one in particular really stood out. It flows really well, it rhymes without being cheesy, and it has a message that is easy to identify with (atleast for me). You said you hadnt written or posted in a while, and i think you should start up again. Youve got talent, use it.
