She no longer has a voice , remaining silent to the rude remarks
she goes on with her life staying to herself
absorbing what people say in front of her
just a nod here and a shrug their .
she listens as people talk behind others back
and wonders what ill words they speak of her
just a thought , wondering if others conqur ?
just a nod here and a shrug their .
When she lends a helping hand , a shoulder to cry ,
She helps without one question why
When in need for help herself she gets
just a nod here and a shrug their .
When in a crowded place
She wonders if anyone sees her face
No one hears her trying to join in
She tries and speaks louder once again
Just a nod here and a shrug their .
Wonder when she dies she ask herself
If anyone would come to her funneral
Wonder if any mouring at all, missing her
Just a nod here and a shrug their ..
Oh well ... Guess I will JUMP !!!!

I think you nailed it on this one!
I get this feeling sometimes for the time and energy I'm willing to invest in someone or something. I for one have a penchant for unordinary ideals and an ability to see more than a few sides which can cause a little resentment defending those who aren't there to defend themselves. But I hold no value what so ever to others points of views that encase me for I change everyday and always have the option to change back when necessary. As for me helping though, turning my back on someone is a very hard thing to do indeed! No matter what they say or do. But here's a little hint, look a little less put together and put on a little show, it's funny the difference of reaction when we get a little melodramatic. Everyone loves to rush in and say I helped the helper what does that make me? Able to cope ;) this is an awesome poem I thoroughly enjoyed this read! Great work!
