Under escape artist clouds who've abandoned dirty
laundry baskets, a flock of coffee cups follow the mother
coffee maker, a flight of undergarments sweep through,
a snapping flat iron exhumes from below, and a ceramic
dove rests upon a tree that spreads forks and spoons.
The war trumpet delivers his message. A wisp of hissing
belts squirm forth, and a rattling toaster swings his cord
tree to tree. A wheeled sofa approaches with disgruntled
passengers: a fake plant, spinning dresser knobs, an elegant
picture frame, a scuffing boot, a knot of cords, a roaring
blender, a phone book, a cabinet door, balancing dishes....
