It brings us life,
even though we don't usually stay out to see it.
I don't know why,
but so many of us seem to hate it.
It makes our days
seem oh so gloomy and blue
when all it is
is God reminding us of how he loves me and you...
When the rain falls down
everything after is made anew.
From the grass on the hills to the trees in the valleys
God's just trying to say I love you...
I see so many running inside when it comes,
and they look at me like I'm dumb
for standing out there getting wet.
So I run,
wondering if they have found God yet...
When the rain falls down
he's just showing his love to me and you.
From the depressed adults to the under priviledged kids
God's just trying to say I love you too...
When the rain falls down I can see
the whole world staring back at me,
but when I fall to the valleys at the bottom of life
he's always there, holding out his hand, saying to try.
Try to live for me, and I love you...
When the rain falls down...
I see this life
as I'm standing here dying.
That's all we do in this world,
and I ain't lying.
I'm so glad that I live in him,
and no matter what, he'll lift me up, time and time again...
When the rain falls down,
and all things are made new.
From the grass on the hills to the trees in the valleys
from a baby being born to me and you
everything dying, and then living again
from hanging on a cross to die for our sins...
buried in the ground and rising again...
He did it for you and me...
everything happens...
When the rain falls down...
