He was away on the road

talkin to her on the phone

wonderin if he would ever get home.

She spoke to him,

and said not to worry.

For love has a strong, strong hold.



So fear not,

God is watching you,

and helping you through.

It's times like this

that I always remember

how much I love you...



Later on that night.

She turned out the light,

and a little girl came up to her.

She hugged her tight,

and asked her "Mommy, when's dad comin home?"

She held her tight,

and told her baby I don't know,

but don't you worry,

cause love has a strong strong hold



So fear not,

Your daddy loves you,

and I'll help you through.

It's times like this

you should always remember

how much he loves you...



Well that girl grew into a woman

as the years passed by.

After that, she loved her daddy,

and prayed for him every night

For he had a disease

that he could no longer fight...

So she looked up

as tears fell from her eyes,

and it was then, that she saw him,

standing there in the night...

and He said...

Jesus is watching you,

and helping you through.
