As I lay here this time

Wondering about this life of mine.

I just can't seem to find the words to say.

I just can't find the strength today.

I pray the Lord my God can see

how close I am to losing me.

Emptiness consumes my mind

Thoughts that mean nothing all the time.

As I lay me down to sleep

I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

If I survive, before I break,

please...show me the way.

It all goes away from here.

I can't even just disappear. 

Now I know how the Lord feels,

but I won't let it end me.
