Two Wolves

One lies in waiting for me to slip up.

One finds away to get me to show love.

Both of them are fighting in me all the time.

These two wolves that I have living inside.

The battle rages on in me deep inside.

The heart of the whole thing makes me wonder why.

Why do I keep on fighting on in this life?

Two wolves inside of me one lives, one dies!

I feel like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I'm just a man, but which monster is mine?

They fight it out every day.

I just want the good to win, and the bad to go away!

The battle rages on in me deep inside.

The heart of the whole thing makes me wonder why.

Why do I keep on fighting on in this life?

Two wolves inside of me one lives, one dies!

The war inside of me

It's hard for you to see

Because it's fought in me

Deep inside! Behind my eyes!

I can't win it on my own,

but i finally know that I'm not alone.

I put my faith in Him. He's alive!

I'm finding my way back to Christ!

The battle rages on in me deep inside.

The heart of the whole thing makes me wonder why.

Why do I keep on fighting on in this life?

Two wolves inside of me one lives, one dies!

The war bleeds through my flesh.

The soul of the matter helps me see the end.

That's why i keep on fighting through this life!

Two wolves inside of me! One lives! One dies!

Wolves: a powerful analogy

Wolves: a powerful analogy for the silent tug of war that is fought "Deep inside". You make it clear that the battle is almost overwhelming and the stakes are the highest of all ("Two wolves inside of me one lives, one dies!"), but then you reveal the most refreshing and inspiring rescue plan with:

"I can't win it on my own,

but i finally know that I'm not alone.

I put my faith in Him. He's alive!"

A lifeline of beauty and triumph.
