Crash and Burn

Everytime she tried, it was all in vein

She reached out to others, but was turned away

She never trusted anybody, always on her guard

She tried to love, and save herself but never got far.

She was learning, learning everything the hard way

Everyday that passed felt like a price she had to pay

Why was it that everytime she'd get on here feet again ---

She'd fall into the hunger in which is still unfed.

Everything she touched felt so hollow, dead and cold

She'd try to stand up again, her movements that of a stone

A lesson she has yet to understand and truely learn

One of these days, she's going to finally crash and burn.
