My tears were wasted in vain

They couldn't cover all my pain.

But now my tears, they fall like rain

Down my cheeks

To your lap.

My heart was yours alone

But it is apart that we have grown

To the wind your love has flown

Away from me.

Out the door

In your hands you held my heart

It was a fragile work of art

You threw it like you're throwing darts

To the floor

And it shattered.

I'm broken now in silent peace

And there is nothing I can't see

An omniscient shield has covered me

To see what now

You have become

What you always were and always will be

You were far too high-class for me

Soon I will live happily

With the man

Of my dreams

Fly away from me now

And let us each remember how

We both broke our silent vow

To be together

Until the end
