Always Dreaming

You spoke to me in a dream.

Your voice was calming to my nervous soul.

Looking the same as you did when I was young.

Kindly you said You will do fine.

Your reassuring voice gave me confidence.

I ran to you and wrapped myself around you.

You looked the same,

You sounded the same,

You were the same.

Then you said--Remember, I will always love you!

And-

You were gone.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is about my deceased grandfather.  I had a dream about him the day before my SATs senior year.  The next day this poem was born.  Miss ya Grandpa.
