Saying, "I Love You, Please Write?"
He sent on Tuesday
By Friday the week after
He felt connected and loved
Having had millions of replies
He created a thousand jobs in his town
As the Post Office hired additional workers
To handle the load
He despaired, however, to find that 109,982 of the replies
Desired further correspondence
He created a corporation to handle this task
Run by private grants and Federal donations
He was jailed in 1981 for tax evasion
And died in prison
