Toss this whole world aside
Renew the blueprints to a more exacting standard
and start all over again
Master carpenters and silversmiths cry out for
ironwood and chrome forests stainless lakes
oceans of golden mist and firefly breath
Toss this whole world aside
Replaced by climate-controlled bacteria-free
well lit rooms ten by ten stretching to infinity
in paint of new and safer colors
New life crawling from newly designed seas will sing
songs and build temples to longevity and the
bliss of creation
New songs chorusing from new lungs breathing new
clean air under suns setting into a sky painted
to stretch the skills of master storytellers
Toss this whole world aside
Carve it into bite-sized pieces fit only for beasts
and beggars abandon its wayward unkempt
children its fatal roads its drowning waters
Fill the drawing board with survival of the finest
Clean lines and harmony build a world that
communicates its joys in blasts of blinding light and
choruses of jackbooted happy angels inkstained and content
to leave good and evil on the drawing-room floor
When the Christian god built paradise, he failed, for it was not enough to satisfy the endless yearning for freedom and knowledge in the hearts of its frst dwellers. Hitler tried to build his version of Paradise, his evil intentions were crushed by the world. One person's concept of Paradise will never satisfy the yearnings of others. I believe that any attempt to build Paradise will fail, it only exists in the minds of dreamers ... unless it can dwell in our hearts. A recklessly imaginative poem, soaring imagery and fearless questing for truth. Much enjoyed, nice work!!
