Venus comes as Jupiter rises high
Jupiter watches Venus moving away
Slowly and slowly to the northeast
Further -- instead of coming nigh.

Clouds covered the sky all night
Except when Venus rose at dawn
Jupiter hides out of all sight
Eyes seek it but it is gone...

Most of the time I scanned the sky
Observing the patterns above
And my heart stirred me and said:
"Worldly love is as you see now".

I pondered and meditated for a while
On the circles and distances all around
And then returned to the realm of peace
As it seemed that angels did smile.

Kneeling and bowing in front of my Lord
I came to know the truth of true love
It is found only in my Maker's worship
Venus and Jupiter may move and dodge.

Love of God is the only true love
Which is constant and reciprocal
No questions asked, no forced vow,
When I am with Him -- the Eternal.

If you believe me not then it's fine
But do take out some of your time
Forgetting the world and its allure
And contemplate on Him -- the Divine.

I am sure that like me even you will
Find solace and joy filling your soul
Worries vanish and fears disappear
When your heart draws nearer and nearer
To the Lord God of the heavens and earth
The One and Only who responds quietly
Enriching you with the deep inner joy
And peace, willingly and most lovingly.
Replenishing you with the happiness
You have been seeking and feeling lonely.

God's love is beautiful and wholesome
More than anything in His kingdom
Do try to reflect on His mercy and grace
And you too will become one with The One.

Why fear Hell or crave Paradise?
Why lose yourself in mirth -- unwise?
Seek God and dwell in His love
Instead of wandering without know-how.

Shake off the shackles of worldly life
Break the circle of gloom and despair
Turn away from Venus and Jupiter
And, like me, adore our loving Creator.
