A Twentieth Century Girl Falls In Love.

Skin as pale as frosted glass

with a heart as cold.

Though you may be beautiful,

I cannot love you.

For I love another.

Equally as beautiful.

With skin like the sun

and a heart as warm.

For he loves me as I love him

and no matter the colour of his skin,

I will always love him.

And so do you see now?

Money is not everything,

nor is race,

not even a pretty face.

Because love is everything

it is everything to me.

- A Twentieth Century Girl (1960's)
